FAMILY FUN NIGHT IS COMING  Friday, May 18th, is Family Fun Night 2012!!  Families are invited to gather and bring picnic meals beginning about 6:00 p.m.  It’s a “kick back” evening of just enjoying being together. 
Don’t feel like putting a meal together?  Then look for the flyer in today’s envelope!  The 4th Grade Class will be selling boxed dinners (Adults $5.00, Children $4.00)---see the flyer for the menu.  Orders and payment need to be in the school office by May 16th!

Our 7th and 8th graders have returned from their Washington, D.C. trip!  They had a week of great weather and were able to visit many of the national sites.  One of the most moving experiences was watching the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  Thanks to our excellent chaperones –Miss Gregory, Mrs. Wagenman, and Mrs. Hicks for taking such good care of our students.

We want to thank Mrs. Roddy for the very entertaining spring concert this year and for taking us on a stroll down Broadway!  It was a great showcase for the individual talents of many of our students as well as for the student body as a whole.  Did hearing the Broadway hits bring back memories?  At our Monday morning assembly our Student Council presented Mrs. Roddy with a bouquet of flowers to show their appreciation.

SCRIP YEAR  Our SCRIP year has concluded for 2011-2012.  In today’s envelope you will find a SCRIP bill if your family did not complete its $200.00 SCRIP obligation to the school.  The bill will show the amount due ($200.00 minus whatever amount the family did earn).  Payment is due in the office by Tuesday, May 15th, at the latest.

NEW SCRIP YEAR  For those families that intend to continue buying SCRIP for the 2012-2013 school year (to earn tuition credit for 2013-2014), please note the following:
• The 2012-2013 SCRIP year runs from May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013.
• 50% of the profit earned will be credited to the family’s tuition account.
• We no longer accept credit cards as payment for SCRIP.
• All SCRIP orders must be pre-paid.

2. Bring or send payment in full before the orders are placed on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. 
If not pre-paid, we will be unable to place your order.

FAMILIES WITH 8TH GRADERS  Please plan to have all school accounts paid in full by Friday, May 18th, to enable your child to participate in the 8th grade dance, Baccalaureate, and Graduation.  We certainly want to avoid any situation which would prevent any of our 8th graders from taking part.

DAY CARE BILLING  The day care billing (covering three weeks) is included in today’s envelope.  Your prompt attention is appreciated!

NO MORE HOT LUNCH  Just a reminder that this Friday, May 11th, is the final hot lunch day.  Students must bring their lunches for the remainder of the school year.  Parents, please remember that no soda is permitted for student lunches.  Thank you.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD The students who participated in the Elementary and Junior High Science Olympiads this year should go to the Science Room after school on Wednesday, May 23rd, for a Pizza Party!  Participation certificates will be awarded and we’ll look at some strategic planning for Olympiad 2013!

SAC MEETING  The final meeting of the SAC will be on Tuesday, May 15th, at 7:00 p.m. in the school library.

SAC FINANCE MEETING  The committee will meet on Thursday, May 17th, at 8:00 a.m. in the parish conference room.

EARLY DISMISSAL
Monday, May 14th, is an early dismissal day.  Classes will dismiss at 1:30 p.m.  Extended day care services will be available if needed.
